The first B-school campus to cross first stage two of the best global accreditation certification processes including the coveted AACSB Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business accreditation process, considered as gold standard in global B-school benchmarking. PSG Institute of Management Coimbatore surpassed the much bigger and more well known B-schools like Indian School of Business (ISB) and ICFAI School of Business (IBS) both based at Hyderabad who are also in the race for AACSB accreditation and got a mentor appointed to oversee the AACSB induction process.
University, US, is satisfied that PSG has its processed in place. "PSG working can
be easily benchmarked with the global standards, except that the school should scale up on the faculty number and quality, infrastructure, new course introduction etc" Bijoy K. Sahoo, the mentor says. "our biggest advantage is the legacy of the school being part of the nearly eight decade old charity PSG which runs a host of higher education institutions including an arts college, engineering college and medical college", explains C.R.Swaminathan, chief executive officer of PSG group.
PSG to become a University - May 09, 2008. It is official (Well, almost). PSG University will soon be formed and will include PSG Tech, PSG IMS, PSG CAS and PSG IM. A bill formalizing this is expected to be passed on May 14th. 2008.

(ICF) has been established at PSG Institute of Management (PSGIM) in 2007 with an objective to disseminate knowledge about financial policies and its implications on financial decision making. It will serve as a forum to share research findings in the areas of Finance and investments in a global economy, with an emphasis on emerging markets. Association of Collegiate Business Schools and programs - ACBSP
PSG Institute of Management is the first B-school in India to be granted candidacy for accreditation on 26th June, 2009. Accreditation committee has nominated Mr. Bijoy K .Sahoo. Ph.D, Dean, School of Business, North Carolina Central University, as the mentor for PSG IM. The Preliminary visit from the Executive Director of ACBSP, Mr. Douglas Viehland along with the mentor had taken place on 24th August, 2009. The accreditation team has accepted the preliminary questionnaire and updation on the questionnaire are in progress. The proposal to ACBSP is to be sent on September, 2010. The final accreditation is expected on November, 2010.
